Vikings Sign CB Nahshon Wright To Futures Deal

The Minnesota Vikings have signed cornerback Nahshon Wright to a futures contract for the 2025 season.¹ Wright, a former third-round pick of the Dallas Cowboys in 2021, joined the Vikings in August 2024 as part of a trade that sent Andrew Booth Jr. to the Cowboys.²

Wright’s signing is part of the Vikings’ offseason moves, which also include signing 14 other players to futures contracts, such as quarterback Brett Rypien, running back Zavier Scott, and linebacker Max Tooley.³ These contracts essentially serve as camp invites, allowing players to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.

Wright, who stands at 6-foot-4, brings an intriguing combination of size and athleticism to the Vikings’ cornerback group.⁴ Although he didn’t make the 53-man roster last season, Wright did spend time on the practice squad and was elevated for a Week 13 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.
