Knoxville, TN – The Tennessee Lady Vols showcased their offensive prowess on Thursday night, as they secured a convincing 83-61 win over the Auburn Tigers. The victory marked the Lady Vols’ 20th win of the season, improving their overall record to 20-5.

Tennessee’s balanced attack was the key to their success, as six players scored in double figures. Jordan Horston led the charge with 17 points, followed closely by Rickea Jackson’s 15-point performance. Jillian Hollingshead chipped in with 14 points, while Sara Puckett and Destiny Salary contributed 12 points apiece. Tamari Key rounded out the double-digit scorers with 10 points.

“We’ve been working on getting everyone involved and sharing the ball,” said Lady Vols Head Coach Kellie Harper. “Tonight, we did a great job of moving the ball and finding the open player. It was a fun game to watch.”

The Lady Vols’ offense was firing on all cylinders, as they shot 52.5% from the field and 42.9% from three-point range. Tennessee’s bench also played a significant role, outscoring Auburn’s reserves 36-13.

Defensively, the Lady Vols were equally impressive, holding Auburn to just 36.4% shooting from the field. Tennessee’s pressure defense forced 18 turnovers, which the Lady Vols converted into 22 points.

With the win, Tennessee improves to 9-2 in the SEC, solidifying their position near the top of the conference standings. The Lady Vols will look to build on this momentum as they head into the final stretch of the regular season.

“We’re feeling good about where we are right now, but we know we still have a lot of work to do,” Harper said. “We’ll enjoy this win tonight, but tomorrow we’ll get back to work and start preparing for our next game.”
