Sad news: Sugar 10 students killed in Watauga County rollover crash
WATAUGA COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A 35-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash Wednesday night in Watauga County, NC State Highway Patrol said.
The deadly accident happened around 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, on Reese Road near Wilburn Rominger Road.
Troopers said William Jesse Glenn, 35, of Sugar Grove, was driving a 2001 Dodge Ram traveling south on Reese Road when he drove off the right side of the road and overturned.
Glenn was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt, Highway Patrol said.
Speed and alcohol were not contributing factors in this crash. The area was closed for about two hours during the on-scene investigation.
