Jets Bolster Roster with Trio of Signings and Claims
The New York Jets have made a series of moves to strengthen their roster signing kicker Greg Joseph and claiming defensive lineman Phidarian Mathis and linebacker Jamin Davis off waivers.
K Greg Joseph Joins the Jets
Greg Joseph, a veteran kicker with experience playing for the Tennessee Titans and Minnesota Vikings, has signed with the Jets. Joseph has made 82.9% of his field-goal attempts in his NFL career and will provide stability to the Jets’ special teams unit.
DL Phidarian Mathis and LB Jamin Davis Claimed Off Waivers
The Jets have also claimed two players off waivers: defensive lineman Phidarian Mathis from the Washington Commanders and linebacker Jamin Davis from the Commanders as well.
Mathis, a second-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, adds depth to the Jets’ defensive line. Davis, a first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, provides athleticism and versatility to the Jets’ linebacker corps.
