Good news: Kevin O’Connell Wins 2024 AP NFL Coach of the Year

Kevin O’Connell has made history by winning the 2024 AP NFL Coach of the Year award. This prestigious honor is a testament to his exceptional leadership and coaching skills, which have been instrumental in the Minnesota Vikings’ success.¹

 

O’Connell received 25 first-place votes and 361 points to secure the award, with Lions head coach Dan Campbell finishing second with 283 points.² This recognition comes on the heels of O’Connell signing a contract extension with the Vikings on January 21.
