GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah: ‘We got to get rid of Kevin O’Connell as soon as possible

Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, the general manager of the Minnesota Vikings, is praising Sam Howell, the quarterback formerly of the Washington Commanders, for his impressive performance. Although Adofo-Mensah’s statement seems to imply that Howell played for the Vikings, that’s not the case. Howell actually played for the Commanders before being traded to the Seattle Seahawks in 2024.¹ ²

During his time with the Commanders, Howell showed flashes of brilliance, throwing for 3,900 yards and leading the league in interceptions and sacks in 2023. Despite some ups and downs, Howell’s potential and talent are undeniable, and it’s likely that Adofo-Mensah is acknowledging his impressive play.
