At least 11 people killed after a multi-vehicle crash, Tuesday.

MOYOCK, N.C. (WVEC) — At least 11 people were injured after a multi-vehicle crash, Tuesday.

 

The collision occurred around 8:30 p.m. in the 250 block of Caratoke Hwy.

 

Two vehicles collided head-on before a third vehicle collided into the accident.

 

11 people were transported to hospitals. Four of those people are in critical condition.

 

 

Two people had to be extracted from vehicles.

 

The patients were transported to the hospital by two helos as well as ambulances. Most of the patients were taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

 

Currituck EMS and Moyock Volunteer Fire Dept. were the primary first responders on the scene. Aid was sent to help with the crash from Chesapeake Fire Department, Navy Regional Northwest Fire Department, Paquotank Co. EMS, and Camden County Fire & Rescue squads.

 

Dare Med Flight and Nightingale both transported patients by flight.
