Aerosmith Retires From Touring Amid Steven Tyler’s Vocal Injury

Aerosmith the iconic rock band, has announced their retirement from touring after 50 incredible years on the road. This difficult decision comes as a result of lead singer Steven Tyler’s vocal cord injury, which he sustained last September ¹.

The injury occurred just as the band was kicking off their Peace Out farewell tour, which was scheduled to wrap up in 2025. Despite Tyler’s tireless efforts to recover, his vocal injury has been deemed “not possible” to heal, forcing the band to make the heartbreaking decision to retire from touring ¹.

Aerosmith’s statement, shared on social media, expressed their gratitude to their fans, the “Blue Army,” for being part of their journey. “It has been the honor of our lives to have our music become part of yours,” they said. The band also acknowledged the struggles Tyler faced during his recovery, saying, “We’ve seen him struggling despite having the best medical team by his side” ¹.

Although Aerosmith’s touring days have come to an end, their legacy will live on through their music. As they so eloquently put it, “Play our music loud, now and always. Dream on. You’ve made our dreams come true” ¹.
