Dollywood is poised to have a spectacular season in 2024!
Soon, Dollywood will reopen its doors to visitors following its winter closure. In 2024, what date does Dollywood open? Season pass members will be able to come on Thursday, March 8 for pass holder preview day, but the award-winning theme park will formally reopen for the 2024 season on Saturday, March 9.
Upon reopening, Dollywood will provide visitors with an array of fresh experiences, shows, and offerings all year long.
In 2024, what’s new in Dollywood? A new ticketing system will make access into the park more efficient for visitors. Tickets will be purchased using this new method. Three new shows are available for Dollywood visitors to enjoy: “From the Heart—The Life and Music of Dolly Parton,” which takes place at the Celebrity Theatre; “Sing-along with Dolly,” which takes place at the Back Porch Theatre; and “Trio, Again featuring Three Times A Lady,” which pays tribute to the legendary Trio album that Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, and Linda Ronstadt released in 1987. At the Showstreet Palace Theatre, the trio of singer/songwriters, Lauren Mascitti, Kenney Scott, and Hannah Blaylock, offers this classic show for Dollywood visitors.
Lightning Rod Receives An Upgrade: Lightning Rod, one of the park’s most popular roller coasters, now gets a new high-speed chain lift. Almost a million additional people will be able to ride each year thanks to this new addition. The All-New Dolly Parton Experience will open in May and provide visitors with an inside look at Parton’s life and career through interactive exhibits, live performances, and carefully curated displays.
