An 81-year-old Hartsville man died after a weekend crash along Highway 151, Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee said.
Robert E. Raines was a passenger in a 2016 Kia Soul involved in a collision on Saturday with a 2013 Chrysler 300 along Highway 151 near S. 4th Street, about 3 miles south of Hartsville, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. Three other people were hurt in the crash, which happened at about 2 p.m.
Troopers said the Chrysler was headed north and the Kia was traveling south when the two collided. Two passengers in the Chrysler and Raines and the driver of the Kia were all taken by EMS to a local hospital. Raines died at the hospital on Sunday.
