Police have attended a three car crash which has taken place near Winnard’s Perch this morning.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed they were contacted at 10.19am this morning following reports of a collision involving three vehicles on the A39 near St Columb bypass.
They stated that one police car was on the scene along with an ambulance from the South Western Ambulance Service. At this stage there are no injuries reported but it is understood the vehicles had a number of occupants including children.
Police have said that it is very likely, with three damaged vehicles, a police vehicle and an ambulance, that there will be inevitable congestion and traffic tailbacks. The spokesperson for the force suggested motorists using the A39 be prepared for some delays in the area.

One witness who drove past after the incident said the crash took place on the westbound carriageway and resulted in “traffic chaos in both directions”. They added that one of the vehicles was an Audi A6 estate while another was a Vauxhall Astra.
They told CornwallLive the traffic was “solid on both sides” when they were on the road.
