A second person has died as a result of a head-on crash in Greene County on Wednesday.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) reported on Wednesday that the crash occurred on Asheville Highway when a Mercury Grand Marquis slowed to turn onto Cove Creek Road and was rear-ended by a Ford F-150.
The Mercury was pushed into the opposite lane and hit head-on by a Chevrolet Silverado.
According to the highway patrol, the driver of the Mercury, Bonita G. Metcalf, 67, was killed.
THP reported on Wednesday that the three people in the Chevrolet were injured.
On Thursday, THP announced that one of the passengers in the Chevrolet had passed away due to his injuries.
The deceased passenger was identified as Jackie R. Aiken, 58.
Charges are pending against the driver of the Ford.
