Officials release new details into crash that killed Longmeadow teen

Regarding the unfortunate death of a Longmeadow High School student over the weekend, investigators have provided additional details. The Hampden District Attorney’s Office has confirmed the 18-year-old was a passenger in a car that wrecked early Saturday morning and the driver is facing charges. Katarina Boskovic was the passenger in the car that died in the early hours of Saturday morning, according to confirmation from the D.A.’s office. In response to a single car crash on Green Willow Drive, Longmeadow Police discovered a male adolescent with minor injuries, said a statement from the D.A.’s office. The suspected driver is him.

There were two more occupants in the vehicle. A passenger was declared deceased on the spot, while the other was taken to Baystate Medical Center due to potentially fatal injuries. The D.A.’s office’s motor vehicle homicide squad and the Longmeadow Police Department are conducting an ongoing investigation. The D.A.’s office states that charges for operating while intoxicated and motor vehicle homicide would be brought accordingly. Officials from Longmeadow School District informed us that staff and students could use support resources all day on Monday in order to help them cope with the loss of a loved one.
