Man killed following pedestrian crash, Kernersville police say

KERNERSVILLE, N.C. —

A man has died after he was hit by a car, according to officers with the Kernersville Police Department.

On Wednesday, June 26, the department’s Traffic Unit responded to the 400 block of West Bodenhamer Street on a reported pedestrian being hit by a motor vehicle.

The pedestrian, identified as Edward Junior Lowery, was taken to the hospital by Forsyth County EMS. On July 1, Lowery died from his injuries.

The Kernersville Police Department’s Traffic Unit is currently investigating the cause of the crash.
