Broken Arrow woman dies in Lake Tenkiller crash
One guy was killed and another was hospitalized following a jet ski accident on Lake Tenkiller, close to Tahlequah, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers. About 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday, the two collided with a tree and the bank next to Barnacle Bill’s Marina. Desmond Bennett, 22, of Wanette, perished at the scene, according to the OHP. Kenneth Allison, a 26-year-old passenger, was flown to a hospital in Tulsa by troopers in a helicopter. Allison has some limb injuries, but she is stable. OHP claims that the jet ski lacked the necessary lighting to be out at night. Although the 22-year-old driver was reported to have smelled alcohol, the reason of the crash is still being looked into by the authorities.
