A rollover collision involving a single car claimed the life of a 29-year-old Houghton Lake resident on Sunday. Troops from the Michigan State Police Houghton Lake Post responded to a complaint of a single-vehicle rollover collision in Markey Township at around 6:45 p.m. on E. Houghton Lake Drive at Hardwood Avenue. The 29-year-old guy, who was the only person in the car, was declared dead at the spot. The car was driving south on E. Houghton Lake Drive, close to Hardwood Avenue, according to the preliminary inquiry. The car crossed the middle lane twice while negotiating a bend, then lost control and rolled over.
