HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – 37-year-old Otis Brison Jr. of Cadiz was killed in a car accident on May 16 in Hopkinsville. The victim’s car was struck by a semi-truck at the intersection of Eagle Way and Canton Pike.
Witnesses on the scene of the accident told Christian County Sheriff’s Deputies that the semi-truck ran a red light and collided with the victim’s car. After the collision, there was an explosion, and the truck caught fire.
According to the CCSO collision report, multiple bystanders attempted to extinguish the fire until emergency services arrived. Brison was found deceased in his vehicle when EMS arrived. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured, and no charges have been filed at this time.
A Go Fund Me page posted on behalf of Brinson’s family shares that he was father to three children, and often volunteered his time at New Work Fellowship, and coached an abundance of youth sports.
