After a collision, a portion of Longmeadow’s Interstate 91 north is closed. According to Massachusetts State Police, the collision happened when one tractor-trailer was rear-ended by another. The road had to be closed so that workers could begin cleaning up a fuel spill, but no injuries were reported. For a while, the stretch of the roadway running north from the Connecticut state line to Longmeadow’s Exit 1 was totally blocked. About 5:45 p.m., the Massachusetts State Police said that one travel lane was reopened.
In cooperation with Enfield Police and Connecticut State Police, detours have been put in place, according to the State Police.
