Good news: Cape Coral makes flood preparations ahead of possible tropical system

Many folks have been concentrating on storm recovery for the past week, and as we approach this weekend, there’s a chance for more rain and flooded roads. Once again, Manny Carvajal prepared his truck for inclement weather. Carvajal remarked, “This is getting old, thinking of moving out of here.” Because Hurricane Helene converted his garage into a tiny lake, he is taking storm preparation seriously. “Those armoires made of that pressboard are in there.” When they get wet, they all collapse; they don’t handle moisture well,” Carvajal remarked. “Everything I have in here is scattered on the floor. I’m going to start looking for plastic bins on shelves with lids to see if I can salvage anything a second time. My residence

Carvajal therefore left Home Depot this time with plastic containers. Carvajal stated, “Lost two cars in this storm.” We’re becoming more and more selective about the items we hold onto. A great deal of goods is thrown away. Give up trying to salvage it altogether. Carvajal made a flood insurance claim following Hurricane Helene. Carvajal is now left guessing as several inches of rain are expected over the next three days. “I recently filed a claim with my flood insurance. They’re using up all of my policy. Carvajal remarked, “I’m not sure if they’ll max out a week later again. Reluctant to give up just yet, he and the other survivor of Helene loaded up the truck. Carvajal has lost a lot, but he hasn’t lost his optimism or sense of humor.
