FHP: 15-year-old killed, 3 teens severely injured in last night crash on JTB

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reports that a collision on J. Turner Butler Boulevard (JTB) on Friday night resulted in the death of a 15-year-old boy and the serious injuries of three other youths. >>> ACTION NEWS JAX LIVE STREAM <\\ According to troopers, the collision occurred on Friday night at around ten o’clock at night when three cars—a Genesis GV70, a Dodge Charger, and a Lexus GS—were heading west on JTB at Southside Boulevard. The FHP report states that the Genesis was struck by the Dodge Charger after the Lexus impacted it.

One of the passengers was apparently ejected from the Lexus and the car rolled several times as a result of the accident. The 15-year-old Jacksonville kid who was a passenger perished in the collision. The sixteen-year-old Jacksonville boy who was driving the Lexus was critically hurt, and two other passengers, a fifteen-year-old girl and a sixteen-year-old boy, were also critically hurt. The troopers said that the driver of the Dodge Charger, a 27-year-old Middleburg resident, only had minor wounds. The 51-year-old Jacksonville resident who was operating the Genesis also sustained minor wounds. All westbound lanes of JTB near Belfort Road were closed as a result of the incident for many hours as emergency personnel investigated the scene. Since then, the lanes have
