SPRINGFIELD: In the course of a heated session in Springfield Juvenile Court, a judge mandated that a minor from Longmeadow provide a DNA sample in relation to the vehicle accident that resulted in the death of Katarina “Kat” Boskovic, age 18. Zachary Elfman, a former student at Longmeadow High School, was charged with DUI and vehicular homicide last year. According to the prosecution, he was operating the Acura that crashed into a tree on Green Willow Drive early on May 7, 2022, following a night of wild partying. Shea Hamel, a classmate, suffered significant injuries in the incident as well; following a protracted hospital stay, she made a full recovery.
