Creston vigil remembers teen killed in Wayne County crash

Ohio’s Wayne County (WOIO) – In honor of an eighth student who died in an automobile accident on Friday night during homecoming, the Wayne County community came together for a candlelight vigil on Sunday night. One of the five teenagers involved in the rollover collision in Wayne County was Aurora Krahenbuhl, 14. They were going to the football game at Norwayne High School. The Ohio State Highway Patrol reports that the collision occurred in Canaan Township just before 4:15 p.m. on Canaan Center Road close to E. Sterling Road. According to OSHP, the 17-year-old lost control of the vehicle and veered over the side of the road while heading north. According to OSHP, the vehicle struck two terrain islands and a ditch before repeatedly rolling over. Aurora Krahenbuhl, 14, of Creston passed away.

According to Superintendent Leatherman, middle and high school students from Norwayne Local Schools made up all five of the crash casualties.
