Two people killed in house fire in Spring Lake

A devastating house fire in Spring Lake on Wednesday night claimed the lives of two persons. A kitchen fire broke out at approximately 10 p.m. inside a residence in the 1400 block of Morrison Avenue, close to the intersection with North Grogg Street, according to Spring Lake Fire Chief Jason Williams.

Williams informed CBS 17 that inside the home, one victim had been found deceased. After CPR failed and the second person was taken out, they passed away. Wednesday night, about fifty firefighters arrived on the area.
