Storm causes roof collapse and alot of lives at Conley Bottom Resort, trapping those inside

Plans for Memorial Day were derailed by severe storms that passed through the Lake Cumberland region. Footage of a roof collapse that occurred following Sunday’s storms was shared to FOX 56.

According to fire crews, it occurred near the main pier of Conley Bottom Resort on Lake Cumberland early on Monday morning. Officials claim that the collapse confined people inside the marina and severely damaged it. Fire crews believe that those who were trapped have escaped the wreckage. Payden Hinkle of FOX 56 is on the site and reports that numerous roofs have been pulled off, numerous boats have been wrecked, and the marina has sustained severe damage.

FOX 56 was informed by multiple witnesses that they are grateful that no one was hurt and that their belongings can always be replaced.
