Five People Dead in Plane Crash Near Wright Brothers Memorial

The National Park Service reported that on Saturday, a single-engine aircraft near the memorial in North Carolina crashed into a forested area while attempting to land.

According to the National Park Service, a tiny plane crashed on Saturday near the Wright Brothers National Memorial in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina, killing five persons. According to Park Service spokesperson Mike Barber, four adults and one child perished in the collision on Sunday. The travelers’ relationship, the destination, and the place of departure were all unclear. The names of the victims were not revealed.

The single-engine airplane was trying to land at the First Flight Airport when it crashed into a wooded area nearby.
