One dead following Corinth crash involving suspected drunken driver

Following a car crash on Interstate 35E in Corinth on Sunday afternoon, one man was murdered and another was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to Corinth police. The collision happened in the 6600 block of Interstate 35E at approximately 2:40 p.m., according to a Corinth police social media post. As the black Ford hatchback continued north, it collided with two guys who were repairing a truck’s flat tire on the shoulder of the road. Two victims were discovered in the highway median by the time the police arrived.

Blair had not yet been placed under arrest as of 5 p.m.; police were still awaiting a blood search order. The Corinth Police Department said on social media that while officers and other agencies continue to investigate the crash, there will likely be significant delays in the area. Gregg said Sunday’s tragedy is the second deadly automobile crash in Corinth this year. The Denton County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman, Orlando Hinojosa, stated that information regarding the overall number of fatal accidents in the county must be obtained from each separate department.
