Video: Turkish authorities launch investigation into fatal cable car crash

According to a statement from Turkey’s justice minister, a Turkish court has ordered the arrest of the opposition mayor of a district in the southern province of Antalya along with four other people over a cable car accident last week that resulted in one person dying. Many view this development as being politically motivated. The incident, which occurred late Friday afternoon in the tourist city of Antalya when a supporting pylon fell, also resulted in ten further injuries. 174 passengers, including kids, were left stuck in midair for hours as a result of the catastrophe. They may be evacuated on Saturday, hours later, by rescue personnel.
