Teenager dies in Zion National Park motorcycle crash

In Zion National Park, a motorbike collision claimed the life of an adolescent. Officials from Zion National Park reported that on Thursday night, a motorbike was involved in a single-vehicle incident close to the Zion-Mt. Carmel Tunnel.

Staff members from National Parks and emergency responders from Hurricane Valley Fire District arrived at the scene right away and started CPR on the 19-year-old victim. Officials stated that after providing care, medical control issued the directive to stop trying to revive the patient. After consulting with a doctor, park staff declared the teenager deceased. Acting Superintendent Bry Carter remarked, “All of us at Zion National Park extend our sympathy to the deceased’s family for their tragic loss.” The Zion-Mt. Carmel Tunnel reopened to regular traffic after being temporarily blocked for emergency response operations.
