South Florida Volleyball Defeats Ohio State in Five-Set Thriller

 

In a stunning upset the South Florida Bulls defeated the Ohio State Buckeyes in a five-set thriller, marking their first win in program history against the Buckeyes ¹. The Bulls overcame a 1-0 and 2-1 match deficit, ultimately winning with scores of 18-25, 25-21, 19-25, 25-18, and 15-12.

 

Led by Ally Cavanaugh’s impressive 19 kills, the Bulls showcased their determination and resilience throughout the match ¹. Naiya Sawtelle and Maria Clara Andrade also delivered double-digit performances, with 17 and 15 kills, respectively ¹. Caroline Dykes dished out 48 assists and had 14 digs, while Lia Schneider recorded her second straight 20+ digs match with 21 ¹.
