Ahmari Huggins-Bruce has officially rejoined the Louisville football program after a brief stint with South Carolina ¹ ² ³ ⁴. The wide receiver previously transferred to South Carolina in January but has now returned to Louisville, where he will be eligible to play immediately, provided he meets certain academic requirements ².

 

Huggins-Bruce’s return to Louisville comes at a crucial time, as the team recently lost Caullin Lacy to a broken collarbone ² ³. During his three years at Louisville, Huggins-Bruce was a regular fixture in the team’s passing attack, with 80 receptions for 1,121 yards and 10 touchdowns ² ³.

 

The 5-foot-11, 170-pound slot receiver spent the first three years of his collegiate career at Louisville, playing in 39 games and starting 12 ². He will likely be a key contributor to the team’s offense this season, which begins on August 31 against Austin Peay ² ³.
