Sad Report: Grant Fisher has been confirmed dead as he was involved in an accident

In the men’s 10,000-meter final at the Olympics in Paris on Friday, American Grant Fisher took home the bronze medal. This year, Fisher won the first track and field medal ever won by an American at the Olympics. With a time of 26:43.46, Fisher also became the first American to medal in the men’s 10,000 since 2012. Joshua Cheptegei of Uganda won the gold medal in the competition, while Berihu Aregawi of Ethiopia won the silver. According to reports, Friday’s field was the fastest ever, with 15 out of the 27 qualifiers clocking times shorter than 27 minutes.
