The NASCAR Cup Series playoff standings and overall Cup Series points were adjusted after the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. An exciting afternoon came to a controversial close when Kyle Larson claimed the checkered flag in yellow, kissing the bricks for the first time in his Cup Series career. Ryan Blaney and Tyler Reddick were not pleased with how things played out, but Larson gained another crown jewel to his collection. Elsewhere, a slew of wheelmen gained valuable position around the cut-line, including Bubba Wallace, who finished fifth on Sunday.
