Haason Reddick Has Terminated His Newly Signed Contract, After He Threaten Eagles of…

This offseason, the Philadelphia Eagles took a risk by revamping their pass rush, which appears to have paid off when they traded Haason Reddick to the New York Jets.

Reddick, the focal point of the Jets’ reconstructed pass rush, has a message for both his new teammates he’ll be lining up with this fall and his previous team.

During his Jets debut press conference, Reddick told reporters, “I think I have a lot left in the tank.”

Before cutting Reddick, the Eagles gave him permission to pursue a trade in an attempt to revamp a position group that struggled toward the end of 2023. In exchange, Reddick received a conditional third-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, which can turn into a second-round pick if he meets certain requirements.

The Eagles modified Josh Sweat’s deal earlier this offseason, signed Bryce Huff, and Nolan Smith, a 2023 first-round pick, might play a bigger role in Reddick’s absence.

Similarly, Philadephia might be able to choose a younger, less expensive edge-rusher early in this year’s draft if Reddick is traded.

Reddick, a product of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, amassed 27 sacks in his two seasons wearing an Eagles uniform, which includes a fantastic 2022 campaign in which he was a key player in a run to the Super Bowl.

But the Eagles were unhappy with the way the pass rush concluded the previous campaign, so they traded for Reddick and added Huff in free agency.
