Cleveland Cavaliers Has Agreed to a $90.5 Million Contract Deal With NY Knicks  star Jalen Brunson, as They Proceed with…

The New York Knicks faced the lowly San Antonio Spurs on Friday night in a matchup they most likely didn’t anticipate. And even though Jalen Brunson scored a career-high 61 points that evening, the Spurs shocked New York by pulling off an incredible 130-126 upset in overtime. As a result, the Knicks were not victorious.
Even though Brunson had a fantastic game the entire night, his head coach Tom Thibodeau believes he could have had a far better night if it weren’t for the officials. Following the game, Thibodeau bemoaned Brunson’s dearth of free throw opportunities and took a rather obvious jab at the officials that might result in a fine from.

Although Brunson was getting all the looks he wanted in this game, Victor Wembanyama had a similarly outstanding performance, scoring 40 points and grabbing 20 rebounds. Nonetheless, the Spurs’ advantage in free throws—32 against the Knicks—may have been a significant factor in this game.
Even though Brunson attempted six of those free throws, Thibodeau believed he should have been able to go to the line more often during the game. The fact that 30 of Brunson’s 61 points were scored in the paint lends more credence to his case. At just 6’2, he must absorb a lot of contact to get to those positions, especially while facing a veteran Spurs squad.
