Ohio State football head coach Ryan Day complimented former Alabama center Seth McLaughlin at a press conference on Tuesday. He proposed that Jalen Milroe, the quarterback for the Crimson Tide, had some responsibility for McLaughlin’s repeated snap problems in 2023.
After the season, McLaughlin transferred to Ohio State; in his final match at Alabama, a Rose Bowl defeat to Michigan, poor snapping was a significant contributing cause.

After Nick Saban was replaced as coach at Alabama by Kalen DeBoer, Milroe stayed on staff and is the clear choice as the starting quarterback after five practices of spring football. Milroe has played every snap with the first team so far, according to DeBoer, who made this announcement on a radio broadcast on Wednesday.
DeBoer stated on Thursday that there haven’t been any cadence problems with the Tide yet.
