breaking news: alabama football team has great a history by signing legent to…

Since January 8, Kalen DeBoer hasn’t had much time to think or relax, but he’s good with that. The newly appointed Alabama football coach is being pushed in a number of areas, including recruiting, managing his new team, and adding additional staff. The following week will finally provide DeBoer the opportunity to begin planning for the 2024 season, after several weeks of piecing things together.

DeBoer addressed the media on Wednesday at the Reese’s Senior Bowl. He said that the players are working out during the winter, and that the coaches will meet with the players more thoroughly the next week to start implementing the new strategies in advance of spring practice. The A-Day spring game will take place on, however the start date is undetermined.

“From a staff standpoint, we’re really looking forward to next week,” DeBoer said. “To be around our guys, spending a lot of time with the team back on campus. (Players) that have come with us from Washington, there’s certainly an understanding of the system, what certain concepts are called and how we teach them. So hopefully back on campus, they’re picking up on those things.”

Technically, Alabama’s 30-day transfer window is open until February 9; however, because to institution restrictions on when students can enroll and be full-time students, departures before to the spring window (April 15) are essentially complete. It gives us a chance to reevaluate the 2024 roster post-portal movement and offer further insight into DeBoer’s initial days on campus while things calm down for him.
