The 2024 Senior Bowl, which is usually regarded as a showcase for some of the top NFL Draft prospects in the nation, was played on Sunday. Regretfully, Joe Milton III, the former quarterback for the Tennessee Volunteers, had a difficult day. In a social media post, Pro Football Focus revealed that, and Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders took offense.

Milton is thought by many to be the quarterback prospect in the 2018 draft with the best genuine arm talent. But during his time in college, he has generally been viewed as an undeveloped player who, at this point, may be more of an athlete than a true quarterback. The Tennessee product had his fair share of struggles in the game, throwing two interceptions for the American Team in a 16-7 loss to the National Team. The Pro Football Focus College social media account pointed out one of Milton’s interceptions on Twitter/X, captioning the play as “The Joe Milton experience.”

Milton did have some good plays during the game; he completed 9 of 13 passes for the day. These were not noted by PFF. Regretfully, the story around his performance seemed to revolve around the costly turnovers.

Shedeur Sanders, the quarterback for Colorado who chose to return to college the next season rather than enter the 2024 NFL Draft, took issue with Pro Football Focus’s caption when he saw their tweet on social media.
