Ronnie O’Sullivan has been ‘pretty awful’ but no one can beat him says Neil Robertson

Neil Robertson believes Ronnie O’Sullivan has succeeded in winning the World Grand Prix, the UK Championship, and the Masters in recent weeks, even though at times he has been “pretty awful.”

The Rocket has had an amazing run of success, winning championships in York, North London, and Leicester and defeating Judd Trump, Ding Junhui, and Ali Carter in the three finals.

Although the world number one has shown flashes of brilliance, it is safe to conclude that he hasn’t played at his peak level in any of the three events.

Notably, O’Sullivan faced serious challenges from Zhou Yuelong and Robert Milkins in the UK, while Carter and Trump overtook him in the Masters and Grand Prix finals.

Robertson said of O’Sullivan, “He’s even talked about it himself, he’s almost laughing about it, people just can’t put him away.”

“I just have to play well because that is no longer me; people are putting me away if I’m not playing well.”

“I don’t care if my opponents are having the time of their lives on the court.” I must have done something wrong if they are engaged in the match of their lives. All I’m truly concerned with is performing to the best of my abilities.
