Alabama Star Player is Suspend for Starting the match Due To….

Alabama gymnastics kicks off its 2024 slate Saturday night in a quad meet against Auburn, UCLA and Cal at the final session of the Mean Girls Super 16 Gymnastics Championships in Las Vegas. The Crimson Tide is returning all four seniors (Luisa Blanco, Ella Burgess, Makarri Doggette and Mati Waligora) from a season ago along with a talented groups of underclassmen and incoming freshmen. Ashley Johnston is entering her second season as head coach at Alabama and feels she has the pieces in place for this team to win a national championship. And it all starts Saturday night in Las Vegas.

“Going into this season, we’re really looking to see this team step into challenges,” Johnston Said. It’s something that we worked on all offseason long. I feel like last season, we were faced with a couple challenges that we weren’t quite ready to adapt and thrive. We had a theme last year of meeting the moment, and this year we’ve transitioned into winning that moment. Doing the little things, really embracing the process and being committed to the little details so that in any situation, any environment we find ourselves in, these ladies know how to adjust, find a way to get the job done.” The meet is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. and will be streamed on YouTube. Alabama will open on floor exercise before moving to the vault. The Crimson Tide moves to the uneven bars for the third rotation and will close out the night on the balance beam.

Former Alabama defensive back Eattle Jr. has committed to transfer to Florida State, he announced Saturday evening on Instagram.rl Li

Little becomes the second Tide player to pick a new school after entering the NCAA transfer portal this week. Center Seth McLaughlin announced earlier Saturday he would transfer to Ohio State.

Little, a redshirt freshman, spent the past two seasons as a reserve defensive back and special teams player after signing with Alabama as the No. 84 overall player in the 2022 class. He did not play after tearing the labrum in his right shoulder Nov. 4 against LSU, and told 247 Sports at Rose Bowl media day last week he would be ready for the spring.
