Pittsburgh Steelers suspended Mason Rudolph due to…..

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced they were making a change at quarterback in Week 16 following their embarrassing 30-13 loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday. The Steelers turned to former first-round pick Mitchell Trubisky to lead the offense after Kenny Pickett suffered a high-ankle sprain injury in Week 13.

The results for Pittsburgh have been horrendous since Pickett’s injury, starting with the 24-10 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Trubisky came in to relieve Pickett that game.

In Week 14, the Steelers lost to a New England Patriots team in the hunt for the number one pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. The Steelers followed up the upset loss by being blown out by Indianapolis. Trubisky has thrown two touchdowns to three interceptions in his previous two starts.

Mason Rudolph replaced Tribisky at the end of the Colts game. According to the NFL, head coach Mike Tomlin said Rudolph will start in Week 16 against the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Steelers are playing musical chairs with their backup quarterback position as they slowly slip out of the playoff race. They’re 1-4 in their previous five games.

Meanwhile, the Bengals have won three straight games, with backup quarterback Jake Browning leading the Cincinnati offense. The Steelers had better hope Rudolph can outduel the Bengals’ suddenly hot backup quarterback
