Packers open up 2 roster spots after intriguing post-Thanksgiving cuts

Matt LaFleur had to make tough decisions after the Green Bay Packers triumphed over the Detroit Lions during Thanksgiving. Jordan Love and his squad are looking to make a late-season run for postseason contention. But, Bo Melton and James Robinson may no longer be part of that journey moving forward.

Jordan Love is losing two weapons in Bo Melton and James Robinson, per the Packers. This prompts Matt LaFleur to stick to his old reliable squad of AJ Dillon, Christian Watson, and Malik Heath among other players that may be diamonds in the rough within this squad.

Robinson did not even get to see any playing given how strong AJ Dillon and Patrick Taylor were for the Packers. Melton, on the other hand, got the opportunity to prove himself to LaFleur. But, his six snaps for their special teams squad were not enough to grant him a permanent roster spot.

This should not dishearten any Packers fans because the move allows them to get elite players back from the injured reserve. Eric Stokes and Darnell Savage are anticipated to be fully healed. Their weapons also thrived without the two players who were subject to getting cut. Dillon notched 14 carries and delivered 43 rushing yards. Watson was also leading the receiving corps. He caught five targets from Love which gave the team 94 receiving yards. His touchdown was the cherry on top when they beat the Lions. All is well despite these moves.

Will these moves help propel them in chasing after that coveted postseason spot?
