BREAKING NEWS: RIP TO T.J. Hockenson Minnesota’s best player shot dead very shocking..

Thomas James Hockenson is an American football tight end for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League. He was drafted in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions. He played college football at Iowa.

Hockenson is entering his first full season with Minnesota after he was acquired from Detroit following Week 8 last season. The 2019 first-round pick was a solid producer with the Lions, but really hit his stride after the trade. From Week 9 on, Hockenson averaged 14.1 fantasy PPG, which trailed only Travis Kelce at the position. His 86 targets (9.6 per game, 24% team share) during the span ranked fifth in the entire league. Including the playoffs, Hockenson saw 10-plus targets in five of his 10 full games with the Vikings (he saw 10-plus in seven of 47 games in Detroit). A boost in TDs would be nice (he’s yet to clear six in a season), but with only Justin Jefferson certainly ahead of him for targets in an offense that ranks sixth in TDs during the Kirk Cousins era, the 26-year-old has found his way..

Hockenson practiced in full Saturday after beginning the week with a pair of limited sessions. He’s been dealing with an injury to his ribs since early November, but the issue hasn’t caused him to miss any games. Hockenson leads NFL tight ends with 75 catches and 736 receiving yards on the campaign, and he’s also notched four touchdowns.

The Vikings faced third-and-eight from the Atlanta Falcons’ 38-yard line, trailing 21-13 with 4:10 left in the third quarter. Dobbs rolled to his right and threw eight yards to Hockenson. Jeff Okudah hit him immediately, driving his helmet into Hockenson’s rib cage. Hockenson immediately knew something was wrong but stayed on the field. He blocked on the touchdown Minnesota scored on that drive and caught three more passes, including two on the game-winning drive. He grabbed at his ribs after each play.
