The Cowboys used a penalty on the kickoff and two unnecessary roughness penalties to get the ball inside the Carolina 10-yard line. The Cowboys capitalized with Prescott’s second touchdown pass of the game this one a five-yarder to Lamb with 24 seconds left in the half. Cowboys lead 17-3. The Panthers had their best drive of the game primarily on the strength of their run game but the Cowboys defense got their third sack of the game to keep Carolina out of the end zone. Eddy Pineiro made his 42-yard field goal and the Panthers trail 10-3 with 1:56 remaining in the half.

The Cowboys used two big penalties against Brandin Cooks and Ceedee Lamb to get deep into Panthers territory but the drive stalled out in the red zone and the Cowboys were forced to settle for a 29-yard field goal from Aubrey. Cowboys lead 10-0 with 11:01 left.
