The Four Vikings That Make The Ringer’s Top 90 Trade Value Rankings

As the NFL trade deadline approaches on Halloween, The Ringer’s Sheil Kapadia has updated his ranking of the league’s top 90 players by trade value. This is an interesting exercise that Bill Simmons has been doing with NBA players for a long time.

Four Vikings made it to the final ranking. Danielle Hunter, the NFL’s sack leader and the subject of trade rumors, is listed as an honorable mention because it’s only a half-season rental. For the same reason, Kirk Cousins isn’t even a badge of honor.

Here are four who did it.

No. 89: OT Brian Oand#039;Neill

O’Neill has been one of the best right tackles in the game for years. He is also only 28 years old and has been very durable.

No. 79: WR Jordan Addison

Addison was a solid no. 2 option in the Vikings offense. It’s possible he’ll put up monster numbers next to Justin Jefferson. If this happens, he will increase this rank in the next round.

Note. It looks like this record (and his ranking) may have been made before Addisonand#039’s monster game on Monday against the 49ers.

No. 61: OT Christian Darrisaw

I left Darrisaw off the original roster before the season because he struggled with injuries in 2021 and 2022, but he has mostly stayed healthy and played at a high level this season. Young, quality left tackles on rookie contracts are always valuable.

No. 9: WR Justin Jefferson

Jefferson’s 4,825 yards from 2020-22 are the most by any player in NFL history through the first three years of his career. And it’s not even close. #2 on the list is Randy Moss – and he’s 662 yards behind Jefferson! And there is nothing hollow about Jefferson’s numbers. He comes up big in big places and puts the team on his back. Jefferson missed 2023 with a hamstring injury, but nothing in his past suggests that durability is a real issue.

Just forget about being on the Hall of Fame track. We’re talking about someone who has a good chance of being in the conversation about the greatest receivers of all time (the non-Jerry Rice department). Jefferson will likely soon become one of the highest paid non-quarterbacks in the NFL, but given his age and production, he’s worth it.
