Packers’ Jaire Alexander, Luke Musgrave get optimistic injury updates ahead of Week 8 vs. Vikings

After losing two straight games, the Green Bay Packers look to face the Minnesota Vikings in Week 8. As the Packers prepare for battle, Green Bay has received some good injuries to Jaire Alexander and Luke Musgrave.

Both Alexander and Musgrave returned to practice Friday, as did Preston Smith, via Rob Demovsky of ESPN. Alexander suffered a back injury while Musgrave battled an ankle ailment.

Aleksander has already missed this season with a back injury. While the Vikings will be without All-Star Justin Jefferson, Alexander Green remains Bayand’s top cornerback. Getting him on the court — and healthy — is a nightmare for an opposing offense.

Rookie tight ends often struggle to adjust to the NFL level. Musgrave is still trying to get used to the Packers offense. Through the first six games of his rookie campaign, Musgrave caught 22 passes and threw for 189 yards without a score.
