The Green Bay Packers are off to a 2-4 start to the year and fans are getting pretty worried. For the past three decades, Packers fans have grown accustomed to a winning football team most Sundays. Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers had legendary runs with the organization.
Now that Jordan Love’s first year on the bench has been suboptimal, some analysts have already linked the Packers to a quarterback trade.

A Bleacher Report article suggested the Packers could lure Tannehill to Green Bay during 2024 free agency:
Green Bay has plenty of talent on offense, but Jordan Love’s erratic play is holding them back — including six interceptions in the team’s last three games last weekend. So, if they want to make sure they can stay in playoff contention next season, they need to take a page from the 2019 Titans playbook and use Tannehill as a backup/potential second baseman if Love doesn’t get healthy.
Tannehill has also had success in a similar offense since Arthur Smith — who helped revive the quarterback’s career at Tennessee — was the Titans’ tight ends coach when Matt LaFleur was offensive coordinator in 2018.
In 2023, Tannehill will play the final season of a four-year, $118 million extension with the Titans. Many believe he will be significantly cheaper to sign in 2024 and beyond. After the last round of the NFL draft, Tennessee selected quarterbacks Malik Willis and Will Levis. In three consecutive seasons (2019-2022), Tannehill led the Titans to the playoffs. He also earned one Pro Bowl selection (2019). In his NFL career, he is 80-69 with nearly 34,000 passing yards, 214 touchdowns and 114 interceptions.

It would be pretty shocking to see the Packers waive Jordan Love after one season (even if the Packers don’t finish with a great record). They believe he can be the long-term answer, and it could take more than one season. Rodgers went 6-10 in his first season.
