Lions Rumors: 4 trade targets linked to Detroit

The Detroit Lions are buyers, and so far we’ve seen some major names linked to them before the deadline.

Week 7 was rough for the Detroit Lions. But with the consistency they’ve played this season, it’s just a bad game.

Lamar Jackson was unstoppable and it just wasn’t Detroit’s day. It’s time to move on, and at 5-2, the Lions are still in great shape.

The NFL trade deadline is coming up on October 31st and the Lions are rumored to be shopping. Not only that, but we’ve seen some interesting names associated with Detroit.

Let’s take a look at a few in particular and how they could help this team reach new heights.

1. Donte Jackson, CB, Panthers

Before Sunday and the loss to Baltimore, the Lions defense had been playing pretty good football this year. However, one area they have struggled with is against the pass. Detroit is in the bottom half of the league giving up over 240 yards per game.

Recently, Pro Football Focus suggested the Lions trade for Panthers cornerback Donte Jackson. The 27-year-old has had a slightly worse, much better year compared to the past three, and the Panthers could be on their way to the league’s worst record this season.

Jackson would be pretty cheap, probably even cheaper than PFF suggested (fourth and sixth picks). I think the Lions will get Jackson for a fifth round pick, but no higher than fourth. Head#039;d come in and help build the secondary, which has been going on at times this year. Fortunately, the Lionsand#039; the attack was mostly enough to get points.
