Packers injury report somehow got worse during the bye week

The extra time should help the team reach full strength. In some cases it is. Right tackle Zach Tom is healthy after working through a knee injury before the scrimmage.

However, Green Bay’s injuries somehow got worse during the week. Cornerback Jaire Alexander and tackle Yosh Nijman were placed on the injury report during the week, while Elgton Jenkins did not practice Friday despite being limited on the day. Head coach Matt LaFleur said keeping Jenkins out of practice was a precaution.

Aaron Jones is still not 100 percent. He was a limited participant in practice all week and is questionable for Sunday. The hope was that he would fill out since he hadn’t played since Week 4. The Packers listed nine players as questionable for Week 7, including six starters, while running back De’Vondre Campbell is questionable.

Just the Packers, right?

Every team deals with injuries, but the Packers can’t seem to catch a break this season. Many key players dealt with running back issues during the season. Aaron Jones is still dealing with the injury he suffered in Week 1. Jaire Alexander missed two games with a back injury and the same thing ended up on the injury report midweek.

It’s too early to call this week’s game a must-win, but the Packers are in serious trouble at 2-4, especially against a struggling team like the Denver Broncos.

But the injury situation does not help. The Packers could be without several starters in Week 7. We can forget that the team is almost on full tours. They finish the bye week as eager as they started it.
