Breaking down Packers’ final injury report of Week 7 vs. Broncos

The Green Bay Packers listed linebacker De’Vondre Campbell as questionable and linebacker Aaron Jones, cornerback Jaire Alexander, left tackle Elgton Jenkins, linebacker Quay Walker, cornerback Eric Stokes, defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt, offensive lineman Yosh Nijman, safety Darnell Savage and security. . Zayne Anderson is questionable before Week 7 against the Denver Broncos on the latest injury report.

How will the injury situation affect Sunday’s clash?

Here’s an in-depth look at the Packers’ final injury report:

LB De’Vondre Campbell (ankle): The veteran quarterback returned to practice on a limited basis Friday, leaving the door slightly open for an unexpected chance to play against the Broncos. If he can’t go, Isaiah McDuffie would once again take over the starting role. Campbell is in danger of missing his third straight game.

RB Aaron Jones (knee): The Packers want to make sure he gets through the week without any setbacks before he can play Sunday. The offense needs a desperate comeback and a spark.

CB Jaire Alexander (back): The back injury that forced him to miss two games flared up again midweek and he did not practice Friday. The Packers have to fear that could become a long-term, seasonal problem.

LG Elgton Jenkins (knee): Are the Packers just resting their knee or was there a setback? Jenkins did not practice Friday. Royce Newman would be the expected starter if Jenkins can’t go.

LB Quay Walker (knee): He was injured nine days ago in Las Vegas but practiced on a limited basis all week. It would be surprising if he couldn’t go.

S Darnell Savage (calf): Like Walker, he was injured in Las Vegas but practiced all week. Expect him to play without rebounding. DL Devonte Wyatt (knee): It’s unclear when he was injured, but Wyatt practiced as a limited participant all week, so he should probably play.

CB Eric Stokes (foot): He remains on the PUP list, but there’s still a chance he’ll return to the 53-man roster before the Packers play the Broncos. Stokes has been training all week.

OT Yosh Nijman (knee): The Packers placed him on the injury report Friday with another injury. He is the offensive line’s best support at tight end, but Caleb Jones would take over that role if he misses Sunday. S Zayne Anderson (hamstring): He hasn’t made his Packers debut yet, but he could be active Sunday if he’s one of the hottest players on the 10-man injury report.

What do the Packers’ injuries mean?

The Packers listed seven primary starters on the injury report, and nearly a fifth of the roster is either questionable or questionable. It’s not a great situation for a team to go out and be healthy. It’s also not great for a young team that isn’t particularly deep and needs to snap a two-game losing streak. Although the injury report looks bleak, it’s likely that Aaron Jones, Quay Walker, Darnell Savage and Devonte Wyatt will all be fine based on their participation in practice this week, and perhaps Eric Stokes will make his season debut. Two bigs to watch are Jaire Alexander and Elgton Jenkins, who both missed Friday’s practice. This Packers team needs all of its veteran leaders, but injuries are forcing Matt LaFleur into games soon. The Broncos ruled out bench mate Greg Dulcich. The other five players on injury notice practiced fully on Friday, did not receive any playing time and were removed from the injury report. Needless to say, the Broncos will be the healthier team on Sunday.
