The NFL world badly responds to the demand for a wide receiver trade

“Could help a lot of teams, a talented player who produces every time he has a role.”

That includes Carolina Panthers wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr., who has been cleared to seek a trade, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.

“Carolina has discussed the matter with agent Vince Taylor, as the player seeks a more prominent role. He is welcome back if an agreement cannot be reached,” Fowler wrote on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). It will be interesting to see how the market plays out for the 23-year-old Marshall, who was a 5-star recruit out of high school according to 247 Sports. After a three-year college career at LSU in which he had 23 touchdowns, he entered the 2021 NFL Draft.

The Panthers drafted Marshall in the second round (59th overall) and he looked poised for a strong debut season in Carolina. After catching just 17 passes in 13 games, he had a productive 2022 campaign (28 interceptions, 490 yards, 1 touchdown), but caught just 16 passes for 114 yards through the first six games. 2023 season.

With Marshall not making a single start despite being active in the Week 5 loss to the Detroit Lions, it makes sense that Marshall is looking for a fresh start. Shortly after the news of Marshall’s trade request, many took to social media to weigh in on the matter.

Jeremy is on it. A Liaison source confirms that Marshall has been authorized to seek a landing site.

Marshall is cost-controlled through 2024 and has second-round pedigree and athletic upside.

However, he struggled to get on the field with the players who were inferior to him.
